Waiting on Wednesday (6): Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week I’m featuring Jodi Meadows’ upcoming debut novel Incarnate.

Title: Incarnate (Newsoul #1)

Author: Jodi Meadows

Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books

Pages: 384

ISBN: 9780062060754

Release Date: January 31, 2012

Description:
NEWSOUL
Ana is new. For thousands of years in Range, a million souls have been reincarnated over and over, keeping their memories and experiences from previous lifetimes. When Ana was born, another soul vanished, and no one knows why.

NOSOUL
Even Ana’s own mother thinks she’s a nosoul, an omen of worse things to come, and has kept her away from society. To escape her seclusion and learn whether she’ll be reincarnated, Ana travels to the city of Heart, but its citizens are suspicious and afraid of what her presence means. When dragons and sylph attack the city, is Ana to blame?

HEART
Sam believes Ana’s new soul is good and worthwhile. When he stands up for her, their relationship blooms. But can he love someone who may live only once, and will Ana’s enemies—human and creature alike—let them be together? Ana needs to uncover the mistake that gave her someone else’s life, but will her quest threaten the peace of Heart and destroy the promise of reincarnation for all?
Jodi Meadows expertly weaves soul-deep romance, fantasy, and danger into an extraordinary tale of new life.

Why I’m excited:  LOOK. AT. THE. COVER. Try and tell me that right there isn’t enough to make you crave this book.  I think this is going to be an awesome book.  I love the idea of “souls” and being reincarnated over and over, and I want to see how it plays out since Ana is the only girl who is new in a world where everyone is perpetually reincarnated.  And of course, I want to know what happened to the person she replaced when she was born.  I see Jodi's Twitter picture all the time on my Twitter feed, plus on the slideshow on my laptop's background, and every time I see it I want the book more.

Preorder Incarnate from  Amazon (Hardcover or Kindle) or Book Depository (Hardcover)  or Barnes & Noble (Hardcover or NOOK Book)

What are you looking forward to this week?

I love comments! They make me super happy, I read all of them and try to respond to most of them!

This is now an award free blog, I'm super flattered to be chosen for awards, but I can't find time to complete the requirements to pass them on. Thanks!
