Giving Thanks for Books!

So, Beth Revis (author of Across the Universe and A Million Suns (2012)) is hosting a week of discussing books she’s most grateful for.  I’m going to jump on the band wagon and post about the books I’m most thankful for.  Beth is also giving away 19 YA Books for spreading the word about your favorite titles.  Head over to Beth's Blog to read about all the details and see the AMAZING prize pack she’s giving away!

Now onto the books I’m most grateful for.  I’ve seen a few people around the blog world that are grateful for Harry Potter because it kick started their journey into (or back into) the YA book world.  I wish I could say the same about the HP series, but sadly I haven’t read them all, and the ones I did read were actually read to me in 4th grade, so I can’t even say I remember them all that well.

I don’t remember a specific book that got me back into reading all the time, but I know I’ve never left the YA section.  I’m very comfortable in the first section of books to the right when I walk into my local Barnes & Noble.  The Twilight Saga definitely had an impact on my reading life; I read them quicker than I’ve ever read through anything else in my life.  I also had some great required reading throughout the years in school that made my love for reading grow (most of them were YA titles).

The books that I’m actually most grateful for are those written every year.  I am especially grateful for each year’s new novelists because they’re giving us more wonderful books to add to our “to read” piles, and the ones that start series are giving us more books to look forward to in future years.  I am also grateful for every book that has become a “favorite” of mine because they are books that I will revisit over and over, and they made a real lasting impression on me.

What books are you most grateful for?

I love comments! They make me super happy, I read all of them and try to respond to most of them!

This is now an award free blog, I'm super flattered to be chosen for awards, but I can't find time to complete the requirements to pass them on. Thanks!
